The Cold War
We speak the language of aliens
Restrained and aloof
Love’s feeling
suppressed within.
We yearn and crave for each other.
Meaningless words and Stranger’s look
Mask the expressed feelings without.
We are not allowed the freedom of lover’s speech.
Clothed in armor
Walking the same path.
We are immersed in a well of stony indifference.
Summer Days and Winter Nights
Are the blooms of gloom that invade our joys?
We dissipate the scanty precious minutes
In worrying of the moments of parting
Flittering away our mutual longings.
We behave like foreigners
At our clandestine rendezvous.
The Feelings to give expression begins to woo.
We love
And that could be our destruction.
Unfed love is a Cannibal.
Ah! To live and love creatively!
What impetus and velocity
It can give to our Struggle in Life!
